Henry in unlikely Milan link

By Nadia Carminati
The Italian press are suggesting Milan want to sign Thierry Henry, even though the Arsenal forward has already insisted he will never play in Serie A again.

Furthermore, the Rossoneri's coach is Carlo Ancelotti, the man who famously gave precious few opportunities to the Frenchman during his stint at Juventus, and failed to spot the World Footballer of the Year candidate's massive potential.

Henry's dazzling display in Milan during the 5-1 hammering of Internazionale has raised his profile considerably on the continent.

Spanish champions Real Madrid appear to be stalking the speedy striker ahead of a probable attempt to sign him next summer, but Arsenal will be just as determined to hang onto their top scorer as they were with Patrick Vieira when Real came calling a couple of seasons ago.

Italian reports are indicating that Milan are prepared to offer cash plus either Jon Dahl Tomasson or Clarence Seedorf for Henry, although there is no prospect of Arsene Wenger entertaining any such propositions.

Even if the European champions were to raise the ‚é¼40 million required to compete with Real for the Arsenal ace's signature, the speculation looks to be extremely unlikely to develop into any future transfer.
