Puyol feeling frustrated
The Spanish international full back conceded, however, that Real had created the better chances during the encounter, and were ultimately good value for their success.
"We gave everything, but we did not have much fortune in front of goal," said the 25-year-old.
"What's more we were playing a great team and I believe the victory for them was fair.
"We must not let our heads drop, and keep on fighting with the passion we showed today.
"It's logical that we are disappointed, not only just in this game but we have had a few in which we have not been good.
"But we will give everything possible to take Barcelona forward.
"We have feeling of impotence. There is anger because we all want to make progress and we have not been able."
