Thatcher given all clear
The ex-Tottenham defender sustained the injury in the 2-0 defeat to Birmingham last weekend and Foxes boss Micky Adams had feared he would be without Thatcher over the Christmas programme.
Adams told the club's official website: "Ben has been for a scan on the injury and seen a specialist who says that he can continue playing if he wears a light cast on his hand.
"That's what he will do and he should be available for this Saturday's game at Everton."
Adams was given even more reason to be in festive mood with the news that crocked pair Steve Howey and Billy McKinlay are making recoveries from injury and could be in contention for the game against The Toffees after missing the defeat against Birmingham.
"Steve Howey is making good progress from his hamstring injury and Billy McKinlay is recovering from a groin strain and has been able to do some training," said Adams.
"Both of them could be in contention for the trip to Everton."
