Rogers returns to City
It had been expected the 26-year-old would be staying at the JJB Stadium until the end of the season, however his spell has been cut short.
Despite the loss of the City man, Jewell is looking at his options to strengthen during the January transfer window and is hopeful of bringing in fresh faces before their Millwall clash.
"Alan Rogers has finished his loan spell and gone back to Leicester now though and although I'd like to keep him he now has an injury and that means we can't even consider that," said Jewell to the club's official website.
"However, I have two or three irons in the fire regards transfers and though we may not get anyone in before the West Ham game, hopefully we'll have at least one new face for the league game against Millwall.
"I know I keep saying that but I am optimistic about my latest moves. It's now a case of us waiting and seeing what comes of our interest and then taking it from there."
