Everton v Norwich

Norwich City travel to Goodison Park hoping the FA Cup tie with Everton provides them with a glimpse of what is to follow on a regular basis next season.

The promotion-chasing Canaries currently lead Division One and Nigel Worthington has been named Manager of the Month for December.

Darren Huckerby will lead the line for City after sealing his move from Manchester City, with another new signing, Leon McKenzie, missing out as he is cup-tied.

However, Huckerby has warned that the priority for the East Anglian outfit must be promotion.

"The only teams who ever seem to win the FA Cup these days are Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea," he complained.

"Let's be realistic. It's a big day for the fans and the club but, at the end of the day, the league is more important to us."

Everton will be without Alex Nyarko after scans showed he chipped a bone in his foot during the victory over Birmingham City last weekend.

The Ghanaian is tipped to be sidelined for at least three weeks and Goodison boss David Moyes may throw Joseph Yobo into an unfamiliar midfield role.

The African defender has played in midfield for Nigeria and looked assured in that position when replacing Nyarko against Birmingham.

David Weir is back, and should start on the bench, and Lee Carsley is also hopeful of being involved after shrugging off a bug.

Alessandro Pistone and Richard Wright remain on the injured list, but Steve Watson is due to return to training.

The last time the two sides met was in the competition in 1995 when The Toffees ran out 5-0 victors on their way to lifting the trophy in May.
