Cech excited by Chelsea interest
Rennes goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed he is excited at the prospect of joining Chelsea after they made an offer for the Czech international.
Chelsea made a shock offer for the highly-rated goalkeeper on Monday and have given Rennes 24 hours to decide whether or not they want to accept the bid.
The Blues have been linked with Parma's Sebastien Frey in recent weeks, but they have turned their attentions to Cech.
Should Rennes decide to cash-in on the 21-year-old a move to Stamford Bridge could be wrapped up in a matter of days.
"I know about the offer and it's Chelsea for sure," Cech told Czech radio station Radiozurnal.
"I can't explain how great the offer is! Chelsea is still in Champions League and have the potential to be the greatest team in the world in the short future."
Rennes, however have denied they have received an offer for Cech, and insist they have no plans to sell the player.
"We have not received an offer nor are we selling," said Rennes sporting director Pierre Dreossi.
