Parma ordered to sell three players
Italian industry minister Antonio Marzano has instructed Parmalat's (Parma's parent company) extraordinary commissioner Enrico Bondi to sell three players to help balance the books.
"I've told Bondi to make operations over Parma Football Club to balance debts and credits, so I have told him to sell three players."
The news that the Gialloblu's crown jewels are up for grabs will have most of Europe casting an eye towards the Ennio Tardini.
Hidetoshi Nakata has already joined Bologna, while co-owned (with Internazionale) striker Adriano and French goalkeeper Sebastian Frey have long been linked with departures.
However, it is Parma's Italian starlets - namely Alberto Gilardino, Daniele Bonera and Matteo Ferrari - that are likely to cause mass interest.
At least three of Frey, Adriano, Gilardino, Bonera and Ferrari are set to leave - which will decimate Parma's squad.
However, the Italian giants have further worries, as Marzano confirmed that the club will be sold off.
"At the end of championship, the club will be sold," he confirmed.
Meanwhile, the club's former operating officer Luca Baraldi has offered his services to them after leaving Lazio.
"Parma are the club that gave me the possibility to be known in the professional football world," Baraldi said.
"And it's normal that if someone will ask me, I'd be ready to give my help."
