Barca confirm Davids talks
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that he is trying to sign Juventus midfielder Edgar Davids.
The future of Davids in Turin is in serious doubt, with his contract due to expire in the summer.
Barca have been linked and now Laporta has confirmed they are in talks.
"We are working with reference to the Davids affair," said Laporta.
"But now we are only in the negotiation phase."
Davids has not ruled out the possibility of staying at Juve, but it seems his future could lie away from Stadio Delle Alpi.
Barca have been linked with a possible loan move, but it seems a permanent deal is more likely.
