Aidoo departs Gladbach

Ghanaian striker Lawrence Aidoo has left Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach to join second-division side FC Nurnberg on loan for the next 18 months.

It is believed that Nurnberg will pay around ‚é¼300,000 (£200,000) for the loan which will last until June 2005.

The promotion chasers also have the option to make the deal permanent should the African impress sufficiently.

Aidoo had lost his first-team place under Gladbach's new coach Holger Fach in recent months and will now attempt to help Nurnberg secure an instant return to the Bundesliga after last season's relegation.
