Conceicao leaves Lazio
Lazio have announced that Sergio Conceicao has left the club by mutual consent.
The Portuguese international was in his second stint with the Biancoceleste after signing in the summer on a one-year contract.
Conceicao, who has also had spells in Italy with Parma and Internazionale, had failed to hold down a regular spot in the Lazio first team this season.
The 29-year-old winger was thought to be keen to leave in order to gain regular football elsewhere to boost his hopes of being part of the Portugal squad for Euro 2004.
The Rome club have also denied that a deal has been done with Inter over the transfer of midfielder Dejan Stankovic.
It now appears likely that the Serbian will remain with Lazio until the summer when his contract expires.
"The situation is that Dejan Stankovic will stay at Lazio until June," stated the player's agent Vinicio Fioranelli.
