Celta line up Postiga swoop
Newspaper A Bola claims that the Primera outfit are ready to take the 21-year-old on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a é¼9 million (£6 million) move at the end of the campaign.
However, Postiga is under contract at White Hart Lane until 2007, and with Celta struggling financially it seems unlikely a permanent move would be in the offing.
The Portuguese Under-21 international has endured a difficult time since joining The North Londoners last summer in a £6.25 million switch.
Postiga has managed just one goal in 18 appearances for the club, although he has yet to break his duck in The Premiership.
It is claimed that Celta have already opened negotiations with Spurs over a loan deal, and the youngster could welcome the chance to move on in a bid to rediscover the form that saw him hailed as one of Europe's brightest striking prospects.
Celta, who currently sit 17th in La Liga, are desperate to bolster their attacking options as they bid to climb away from the relegation zone.
The Galicians currently have former Aston Villa striker Savo Milosevic as their only fully fit recognised front man, and have identified the Portuguese starlet as an ideal reinforcement.
Tottenham have denied the starlet is in talks with any club, and with top scorer Frederic Kanoute set to jet off on African Cup of Nations duty with Mali, the club are unlikely to want to lose another front man. Leaving Robbie Keane as the only major goal threat, with Bobby Zamora also struggling to make an impact at Premiership level.
