Fulham swap Melville for Pearce

West Ham United and Fulham have agreed a deal that will see Ian Pearce join The Cottagers and Andy Melville move in the opposite direction.

Pearce is currently undertaking a medical at Fulham before completing the move, and could be available for Monday's clash against Newcastle.

The West London club have already tied up a deal for Moritz Volz, as Chris Coleman looks to give his defence a major overhaul.

Pearce has plenty of Premiership experience, both with West Ham and Blackburn Rovers, and the former England Under-21 international will be delighted to return to the top flight.

Melville has played over 200 games for Fulham since arriving at the club from Bradford on a free transfer.

The terms of the deal are yet to be announced.
