1860 target Bayer flyer
The former German Under-21 international has struggled to settle at Klaus Augenthaler's side since his transfer from Karlsruhe last summer given tough competition from Dimitar Berbatov, Oliver Neuville and Franca.
He has recently stressed that he would be prepared to leave the BayArena in search of regular first-team football elsewhere.
"We want to sign him for our right wing," 1860 director of sport Dirk Dufner told Sportbild.
Leverkusen are unlikely to sell the gifted 23-year-old, but might be ready to loan him to the Lions in order to give him much-needed match practice.
