Hendrie blow for Villa

Aston Villa have been dealt a blow with the news that Lee Hendrie could be sidelined for a month.

The midfielder limped out of Villa's win over Bolton in the Carling Cup on Tuesday with a groin problem and he has revealed the injury will likely keep him on the sidelines for four weeks.

"I just felt my groin tighten a bit," said Hendrie. "I didn't want to go off but it was obvious at the start of the second half that I had to.

"I was gutted and now I could be out for a few games."

Villa chief David O'Leary has a lengthening injury list, as Hendrie has been joined in the treatment room by Juan Pablo Angel, Thomas Hitzlsperger and Mark Delaney.

Hendrie and Angel are almost certainly out of the trip to Leicester, while Hitzlsperger and Delaney are doubts with their respective leg injuries.
