Torres and Garcia Calvo injured
Fernando Torres, 19-year-old captain and fan favourite, suffered a groin injury following a clash with Osasuna's goalkeeper, Ricardo Sanzol, during their 1-1 draw at the Vicente Calderon. He was immediately substituted.
"It's bad luck," said manager Gregorio Manzano after the match. "It's the second time that he has had to be taken off, the first was against Racing (Santander), but as he goes for everything..."
Defender Jose Antonio Garcia Calvo damaged his left thigh in the same game. He is expected to be out for a month, while Torres should be fit to play within three weeks.
It will be a blow for Manzano's team, who are hoping to finish in a UEFA Champions League spot. They are currently fourth in the league, just two points ahead of Osasuna and Villarreal.
