Timm nets new United deal
The highly-rated 19-year-old has yet to be become a regular in United's reserve team, but Sir Alex Ferguson is clearly intent on keeping his young prospect at Old Trafford.
The Danish striker signed from Odense in 2002, after impressing visiting United scouts during a youth tournament in Portugal.
Whilst Timm seems to have a bright future with The Premiership champions, Daniel Nardiello could to be set for a prolonged stay away from Old Trafford.
The 21-year-old striker is currently on loan at Barnsley and having scored twice on his debut against Blackpool, the Second Division promotion chasers are keen on extending the deal for a further three months.
Barnsley chairman Peter Ridsdale has confirmed that the club are exploring the possibility of retaining the services of Nardiello.
''It is too early to talk about a permanent deal, but Daniel is a very good player and we are extremely grateful to Manchester United,'' stated Ridsdale.
''We are hoping to extend his deal for three months.''
Nardiello spent a month on loan at Third Division Swansea earlier in the season and having made just one start for Manchester United in three years, a permanent deal could be his only chance of securing regular first team football.
