Injury blow for Racing

Racing Santander defender Jose Moraton will be sidelined for two months with a leg injury.

The centre back tore a quadricep muscle during a training session and has been ordered to give the knock complete rest.

The news will come as a big blow to Racing boss Lucas Alcaraz for whom Moraton has been a virtual ever-present this term, playing 19 of the club's 22 league games this season.

It also means Alcaraz is left with serious headaches for this weekend's home league clash with Real Betis, as his other first choice centre back Juanma is missing through suspension.

There is better news of influential striker Rodolfo Bodipo, however, who should be fit for the Betis game after missing last weekend's reverse at Real Sociedad with a hamstring injury.
