Shuker extends Pools stay
The 21-year-old initially joined Pools in December and has enjoyed a two-month spell with the Victoria Park club so far.
Earlier in the season, Shuker had been on loan with Third Division club Rochdale before being told by City boss Kevin Keegan that his contract will not be renewed with the City of Manchester Stadium club next season.
Pools boss Neale Cooper was delighted to keep hold of the youngster for another four weeks.
"Chris has fitted in really well with the lads," Cooper told the club's official website.
"He may be small but he is a quick player and can cause the opposition problems - that is something we saw on Saturday at Oakwell (Barnsley)."
Meanwhile, former Hartlepool defender Jon Bass is hoping to resurrect his career by taking a trial with a club in Malaysia.
Bass recently had his contract cancelled by the North East outfit and following talks with his agent, the player is set to head for South East Asia for a trial with Malaysian club Pahang FA.
"My agent rang me up and said 'do you fancy playing abroad?'," Bass revealed.
"I said 'of course' and he told me a club in Malaysia were interested and that they wanted me to go out there on trial."
