Figo would walk from Real
There has been persistent speculation in Spain that the Portuguese winger could quit the reigning Spanish champions at the end of the term, with both England and Portugal mooted as destinations.
Figo has remained coy over the reports insisting he is happy in the Spanish capital, but in an interview to A Bola he has now conceded he would happily move on if he felt it was in his best interests.
"In all professional activity that is the way of things. If a person does not see themselves as valued in their job then the option is to think about another place," stated the 31-year-old.
"It has always been like that in my career, when I have not been valued or respected in my job then I have no problems in looking for another club.
"Football, for me, does not end with Real Madrid, like it didn't with Sporting (Lisbon) or Barcelona, and like it wouldn't at any other club in the world."
However, the skilful wideman added that, currently, his objective remained to see out his Real contract.
"I have two years left on my contract (at Real) and I am not worried," he continued.
"What's more I am not looking for another club, but if that was to happen, it was right for me to leave, I would have no problems in preparing for my future.
"I will say it again though, I have a contract and I hope to see it out."
On the eve of his country's friendly with England, in which he should earn his 100th international cap, Figo took the chance to praise David Beckham, but acknowledged he was hungry to inflict defeat on his Real team mate.
He also denied talk of a rift with the England skipper who has taken responsibility from Figo for Real's set-pieces since his summer arrival at El Santiago Bernabeu.
"I would like to beat him on Wednesday because football is always about winning.
"I have lost nothing (to him), I have my prestige and functions in the team.
"I don't want to create problems about who takes free-kicks. The team must make use of the qualities that each player has.
I am not about creating conflict with team-mates or coaches.
"There is no need to create suspicions where there are none."
