Owen stays on at Oldham
Oldham Athletic have extended the loan of defender Gareth Owen by a further month from Division One side Stoke City.
The 21-year-old will be subject to a 24-hour recall clause by The Potters during his second four-week stay with The Latics.
Owen was pleased to extend his stay at Boundary Park once the opportunity was offered to him by caretaker manager John Sheridan.
"I'm overjoyed, I wanted to stay as soon as John (Sheridan) mentioned the possibility," Owen told the club's official website.
"I had no hesitation in wanting to stay longer, things have gone well so far and hopefully we can get some more wins and start moving up the table."
