Trap content with Azzurri display

Italy's veteran coach Giovanni Trapattoni has revealed that he was content with his side's midweek performance, despite twice squandering a lead.

The Azzuri fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw with fellow Euro 2004 qualifiers Czech Republic and the wily coach took some major positives from the performance.

''I've seen a really concentrated team,'' confirmed Trapattoni. ''We deserved the advantage.

''In the second half, with the changes, the team lost their balance, but the feeling between Totti, Del Piero and Vieri has been very good."

Italy will travel to Portugal in the summer as one of the pre-tournament favourites and Trapattoni believes his players are now looking capable of delivering success in this year's European Championship.

''My players showed good personality in the first half,'' continued Trapattoni.

''If they continue to play in this way, then we will have a good chance.''
