Real star facing ban
Real Madrid defender Roberto Carlos looks set to face disciplinary action for a clash with Bayern Munich's Martin Demichelis in the clubs' UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday.
The Brazilian appeared to strike Demichelis in the face after a keenly-contested tackle between the two.
Match referee Terje Hauge did not punish the Real star for the incident but, having studied television replays, Uefa have decided that the former Internazionale full back has a case to answer.
"We've opened a disciplinary case against him and a decision will be announced by about 5pm on Monday (March 1)," stated a Uefa spokeswoman.
"There are many possible sanctions available. The most likely would be a suspension for one or several matches."
