Dichio seals Millwall move

Millwall have finally sealed striker Danny Dichio's permanent move from First Division rivals West Bromwich Albion.

The former Queens Park Rangers, Sampdoria and Sunderland hit-man has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with the South East London outfit until the summer of 2006.

It brings the forward's career with The Baggies to an end after a frustrating spell with Gary Megson's side.

The 29-year-old has made an immediate impact with The Lions since arriving on loan last month.

He scored five goals in his first three matches for Millwall, prompting player-manager Dennis Wise to make a permanent move for the tall goalscorer and Dichio was delighted to officially become a Lion.

"It's been a long time coming. There have been a lot of practicalities that needed to be sorted out but I'm just very glad to have finally signed," Dichio told Millwall's official website.
