Butelle tug-o-war
Metz are ready to rebuff interest from Valencia in order to tie Ludovic Butelle to the club.
The 20-year-old has been impressive over the past few months and has already revealed receiving contact from the Spanish side.
Metz have proposed a first senior contract to their young shot-stopper, who is likely to stay if he is guaranteed first team football.
"If it is to earn big wages and not play, I am not interested," he said of Valencia's interest.
Chairman Carlo Molinari has denied any contact from the Mestalla outfit and has explained he cannot force Butelle to pen a deal with Les Grenats.
"There is no official contact from Valencia," Molinari stated.
"The player told us he has not signed anything yet.
"It is up to the player to make a career choice.
"Metz can't be the master of this situation."
