Fitness boost for Monaco

Monaco have been handed a double boost with the news that star duo Ludovic Giuly and Sebastien Squillaci are back to full fitness after injury.

The pair have missed Monaco's last few games through injury, but now they are set to be available for next week's UEFA Champions League quarter final with Real Madrid.

Monaco captain Giuly has been sidelined with a broken foot, while Squillaci has been missing with a leg problem.

Both players have now been declared fit and Giuly is even hoping to play in Wednesday's Coupe de France quarter final against Ligue 2 team Chateauroux.

If he does not play on Wednesday Giuly and Squillaci are both expected to start the weekend Le Championnat game at home to Sochaux in a bid to improve their match sharpness.

Their return to fitness is a major lift for Monaco coach Didier Deschamps as his squad has become stretched at such a crucial stage of the season.
