Eusebio hails 'heir' Figo
Portuguese legend Eusebio has hailed Real Madrid star Luis Figo as the natural successor to his mantle.
The Mozambique-born hero, widely regarded as Portugal's finest ever player, feels that Figo's star quality both on and off the pitch marks him out as his country's outstanding footballer of recent times.
"Figo is my heir in terms of being a world representative for Portuguese football," Eusebio, 62, told A Bola.
"His influence is global and the fact he plays for Real Madrid helps as well.
"Luis in everyday life is a normal and humble man who respects people and knows his place.
"I can not compare myself with Figo, this kind of thing is for journalists.
"I had my way of playing, and Figo has his.
"My style was more similar to Ronaldo's when he was at Barcelona, and my shot was harder."
