Coventry 4 Millwall 0

Coventry City kept their hopes of reaching the play-offs alive with a 4-0 rout of FA Cup finalists Millwall at Highfield Road.

The Lions were brought back to down to earth following last Sunday's success in the FA Cup semi-finals, as Dennis Wise's side fell out of the play-off places with the defeat.

The Sky Blues took the lead six minutes in as Bjarni Gudjonsson swung in a short corner to Mo Konjic and his knock-back found Julian Joachim (pictured) for the first of his two goals.

After Millwall's Tim Cahill hit the post, Coventry made it two as Gudjonsson's corner found Eric Deloumeaux to head back across into an open net on 12 minutes.

Eric Black's side made it three just before the hour mark when Joachim tapped home his second on the break after Millwall keeper Andy Marshall and team-mate Darren Ward got into an awful mix-up.

They got a fourth goal with three minutes left when Joachim was fouled in Millwall's box by Matt Lawrence and Gary McSheffrey converted from the spot.
