Fergie's Kleberson assessment
The Brazilian World Cup winner arrived at Old Trafford in a puzzling summer deal that prompted suspicions United were looking to help number one transfer target Ronaldinho settle by introducing an international team-mate to the squad.
Of course, Ronaldinho famously instead joined Barcelona when United were unable to meet Paris Saint Germain's asking price.
Kleberson has done little to justify his £5.9 million price tag and the former Atletico Paranaense man will perhaps be fortunate to obtain a second season with The Red Devils after a relatively poor campaign for the club as a whole.
"It has not been an easy season for him and the good thing for him will be to get the season over with," said Ferguson.
"He has come into English football, got married, has become a father and all that can't have been easy when you've come over from Brazil and are trying to settle here.
"He also had a shoulder injury in the early part of the season and recently this knee injury.
"So it has not been a lucky season for him.
"Hopefully, with this season behind him, he'll be much better next season for it.
"I think all the young players will be."
