Marlet fitness blow
Steve Marlet looks certain to miss the Uefa Cup semi-final with Newcastle United on Thursday after suffering a relapse in his bid to regain full fitness.
The Marseille striker, currently on loan from Fulham, is causing a headache for Jose Anigo with regards to the coach's attacking options after hurting himself in training on Tuesday.
Marlet felt pain in his back during the session and an MRI scan has revealed muscular problems.
The France international has previously had injury issues with his knee and his buttocks.
With Mido also injured, after suffering a knee problem, l'OM will be relying heavily on highly-rated hit-man Didier Drogba at St James' Park.
