Jardel sets heart on Sao Paulo

Bolton's Brazilian misfit Jardel looks set for a return to his homeland with a move to Sao Paulo.

The former Galatasaray and Sporting Lisbon star is still under contract at the Reebok Stadium having annulled his loan switch to Serie A strugglers Ancona earlier in the month.

The 30-year-old has no future with Wanderers after failing to make an impact since joining last summer and will become a free agent when his deal expires in the summer.

After being linked with both Corinthians and Palmeiras, it now seems the former Golden Boot winner has set his heart on a move to Sao Paluo to be closer to his children - and is prepared to take a substantial wage cut to seal the move.

"I want to play for Sao Paulo because my children are more important than the money," the striker stated.

It is believed the ex-Gremio star was initially asking for around ‚é¼90,000 (£60,000) per month from the Brazilian outfit, but is willing to accept a third of that sum (‚é¼30,000) to clinch his transfer.
