Henry named Player of the Year
Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has been named PFA Player of the Year for the second season in succession.
Henry was honoured by his fellow professionals after another stunning campaign while Scott Parker was voted Young Player of the Year.
France international Henry fended off competition from Gunners team-mate Patrick Vieira to win the prize with Newcastle United captain Alan Shearer, Bolton playmaker Jay-Jay Okocha, Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard the other nominees.
In a magnificent season for Henry, the quick-silver forward has scored 38 goals for The Gunners, with an incredible 29 of those coming in The Premiership.
The Young Player of the Year title went the way of Chelsea midfielder Parker, who moved to Stamford Bridge midway through the season from Charlton Athletic.
Parker's rivals for the award were Blues team-mates John Terry and Glen Johnson, Everton forward Wayne Rooney, Manchester City midfielder Shaun Wright-Phillips and Arsenal defender Kolo Toure.
The vote for Parker was something of a surprise but the England international was delighted to be chosen by his fellow professionals.
He said: "This is very pleasing for me and it rounds off a brilliant season, although there are a couple of things that could still go my way in the summer, such as the Champions League and the European Championship."
In the PFA Premiership Team of the Year, Arsenal provided six of the side with Henry and Vieira joined by Robert Pires, Lauren, Sol Campbell and Ashley Cole.
Both Norwich City and Cardiff City provided two players apiece for the PFA Division One Team of the Year.
Bristol City had the core of the Division Two Team of the Season with three players while Blackpool, Plymouth and Brighton all provided two footballers.
Despite their lowly position in the league, Scunthorpe United provided two players for the Division Three Team of the Season, along with promotion-chasing Torquay United.
