Bonera happy to stay at Parma

Parma defender Daniele Bonera has revealed he would like to stay at the club after being linked with a move to Juventus.

The Italian Under-21 international has been strongly linked with a move to Juventus as they look to improve on an extremely disappointing campaign this season.

Juve are keen to bolster their defence and Bonera is believed to be among their list of potential targets.

It is feared that Bonera and some of his team-mates may have to leave Ennio Tardini in the summer to raise funds at the cash-strapped club, but Bonera admitted he would like to stay if a new owner can be found for the Gialloblu.

Bonera is refusing to pay any attention to all the speculation regarding his future and insists his first choice is to stay at Parma.

"What I have to do is simply end in the best way this season. Then I wish Parma will be able to continue," Bonera told Italian daily 'Tuttosport'.

"This is a team that deserves to take part on the most important stage. If a buyer for the club will arrive, I'll stay."

Bonera has no fears about making a move to Juventus if he does leave Parma.

"Do I feel ready? I say yes," added Bonera. "In a certain way Parma too are a big team so the passage wouldn't be so difficult.

"Obviously Juve have different ambitions, but we [Parma] fight for the fourth place and we are on a high level."
