Lampard annoyed at slow talks
The Blues ace wants to commit his future to the club, but the West London outfit seem reluctant to give Lampard parity with some of the club's bigger earners.
Lampard is desperate to pledge the rest of his career to the club, but admits he will not accept anything less than what he feels he is worth.
"Yes, it riles me because all I'm asking for is parity with other players here at the club," Lampard told the News of the World.
"I think I'm a top player at this club and I am not asking for outrageous wages. I just want what I feel is just reward for my hard work.
"I really hope we can sort something out before the end of the season.
"I don't know if Peter Kenyon is messing me about but, hopefully, I will get that parity in the end
"I feel I am a top player and I want to be equal to the others.
"This is a big contract for me - and one that will hopefully tie me here for life, which is something I want - but only if the deal is right for me.
"I am playing and scoring goals and if I keep doing that I must have a great chance of getting my deal.
"I'm more confident in my position at the club now and hopefully they will come around to recognising my contribution."
Italian giants Internazionale are understood to have first option on Lampard and they will be keeping an eye on developments.
