Zlatan injury scare

Ajax are concerned about the fitness of striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Swede returned from international duty with a groin complaint.

Ibrahimovic played 65 minutes of Sweden's 2-2 draw with Portugal in Coimbra on Wednesday but picked up a knock during the friendly.

The much-vaunted forward has already missed a chunk of the campaign with a groin injury and Ajax are waiting to learn the extent of the damage for the latest problem.

The Swedish ace feels the injury is due to playing too many matches and it is unlikely he will be risked for this weekend's clash with Zwolle.

Meanwhile, former Ajax player Simon Tahamata is to return to the club in the summer to take up a position as a youth coach.

Tahamata figured for the Amsterdam giants between 1976 and 1980 and is currently youth co-ordinator at Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen.

He will take up his new post at the Amsterdam ArenA from July 1.
