Jimmy unhappy with rotation
The Dutchman is unhappy that players are not given a proper run in the side due to Ranieri's tinkering of the line-up and tactics.
Hasselbaink has been one of the biggest victims of Ranieri's rotation policy and the former Leeds United striker feels it causes uncertainty among the whole squad.
"We don't know who he wants to play before a specific match," Hasselbaink told Dutch daily Algemeen Dagblad.
"It's always a surprise. Until he announces the team two hours before a game, we know as much as anyone else.
"I'm not afraid of strong competition, but the problem is that sometimes the competition is just unfair.
"If you are playing well and have found the right rhythm, you still don't know if you're in the squad."
Meanwhile, Blues midfielder Emmanuel Petit has launched a stinging attack on club owner Roman Abramovich - insisting he has no idea how to run a football club.
Petit, who is set to leave Chelsea in the summer when his contract expires, warned the Russian that money does not guarantee success.
"Maybe he feels running a football club is like running an oil company but it is not the same," said Petit.
"He could spend another £1 billion on another 40 new players but that would not guarantee success."
Petit also feels Abramovich has made it impossible for manager Claudio Ranieri to achieve success after all the uncertainty surrounding his future.
"Ranieri is a really good manager but without the support of everyone at the club, it's impossible for any manager to achieve success," added Petit.
