Skoubo happy at Baggies exit

Borussia Monchengladbach striker Morten Skoubo has revealed he is looking forward to returning to Die Bundesliga after enduring a miserable loan spell with West Bromwich Albion.

The former Danish international arrived at The Hawthorns in January, but has struggled to force his way into the Baggies first-team.

''I am not sad that my spell here is soon over,'' conceded Skoubo to Onside.dk.

''I will talk with Borussia at some point to find out what plans they have.

''It has not gone as I had hoped. When I came over here, I wanted to prove myself and get some playing time in.

''I do not feel I have had the chance to do that.''

Having failed to make an impression on West Brom boss Gary Megson (pictured) - Skoubo will attempt to resurrect his stalled career in the summer.

The player's agent, Karsten Aabrink, has confirmed that several clubs are looking at his client.

''There is interest from other clubs other than Monchengladbach,'' said Aabrink.

''But I cannot tell which club or country it is.''
