Atkins draws up retained list

The former Oxford United boss has released seven players who have all seen their contracts come to an end with the West Country outfit.

Danny Boxall, Wayne Carlisle, Neil Arndale, Bo Hendriksen, Andy Rammell, Anwar Uddin and Graham Hyde have all been released by The Pirates.

Four players under contract - Simon Bryant, Ryan Williams, Sonny Parker and Ijah Anderson - have all been given free transfers.

Rob Quinn and Lee Hodges are also free to leave, but may receive new deals from the Division Three side in the summer.

Atkins, however, has decided to keep eight players for the following season in Kevin Miller, Lee Thorpe, David Savage, Lewis Haldane, Ali Gibb, Junior Agogo, John Anderson and Christian Edwards.

Adam Barrett, Kevin Austin, Paul Tait, Ryan Clarke and Danny Williams are in discussions with the club about their futures.

Rovers finished in the lower half of the table this season and Atkins will aim to improve the fortunes of the club next term.
