Jancker confirms Udine exit
Udinese's former German international striker Carsten Jancker has confirmed he will be leaving the Serie A team at the end of the season.
The tall hit-man was always expected to leave Stadio Friuli after the former Bayern Munich ace failed to fulfil his potential with the side.
Jancker, who has lost his place to Vincenzo Iaquinta in the side, believes he has made the right choice to leave Udinese, with a possible move to Kaiserslautern on the horizon.
"I leave a city that welcomed me positively. I'd like to thank everyone. I think this is the right choice," said Jancker.
"Unfortunately things here did not go as planned. I don't know why I haven't been able to find space.
"In the beginning I didn't play very well, then I got injured and the coach choose Iaquinta."
