Van der Meyde's Ajax hint
Andy van der Meyde has admitted to being flattered by Ajax's interest in him.
The Dutch winger has failed to prove himself since quitting Amsterdam for Internazionale last summer and his future in Italy is in some doubt.
Van der Meyde is set to hold crunch talks with Inter this week, but he has hinted that he would be ready to return to Amsterdam.
"I know that there has been contact between Ajax and my agent Chiel Dekker," the 24-year-old told Sportweek.
"That I'm the first choice of Koeman gives me a special feeling, but first I have to know what Inter's plans are for me.
"I hope to hear them this week."
Van der Meyde is likely to play a prominent role at Euro 2004, but he may still be allowed to move on and the idea of a return to Holland clearly appeals.
