Solskjaer staying at Old Trafford
The Norwegian international has endured a difficult year at Manchester United as injuries have forced him to spend most of the campaign on the sidelines.
His lack of action has seen stories surface that he could well be on his way out of Old Trafford with Celtic thought to be keen on acquiring his services.
However the striker has refuted he is leaving the Red Devils and is happy to remain in the North West.
"I have not played well, but that does not mean that I am going around looking for a new club," stated Solskjaer to TV2.
"I have got mates at home who call me and ask whether I am going here or there. On Thursday one said that I was going to Stoke, so we will have to wait and see!
"When you have had a bad season, as Manchester United have as a club, there is always going to be speculation around every player.
"There has been a lot said about Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs and Ruud van Nistelrooy. It is just the way when you are at this club."
He added: "The press only pour more fuel the fire but they cannot ruin the good co-operation and friendship we have here."
The front-man is now already looking forward to the next campaign with the Red Devils and he still has faith in his ability to play for Sir Alex Ferguson's outfit.
"My goal next season is to be good enough to play," he said.
"I am only looking forwards, not backwards. I know that on my best days I am good enough to play for Manchester United."
