Moens moves to Tilburg

Willem II Tilburg have snapped up goalkeeper Oscar Moens on a three-year contract.

Moens was available on a free transfer after he opted not to take up the option of a long-term deal with Genoa.

The 31-year-old spent the second half of the campaign with the Italian side but decided against signing a three-year contract with the club.

He has now linked up with Willem II where he is likely to be first choice next season with Belgium international Geert de Vlieger tipped to leave the club.

Moens' move to Willem II ends his 12-month exile from De Eredivisie after he left AZ Alkmaar last summer.

The shot-stopper had a trial at Tottenham Hotspur but, despite impressing in training, was not offered a contract.

Fellow Premiership side Wolves were also reportedly keen on Moens while a trial at Hamburg failed to secure a switch to Germany.
