Hockless flattered by Tigers link
The highly-rated 21-year-old has been attracting the interest of a number of clubs, including Peter Taylor's Tigers.
Hockless has yet to agree terms on a new deal with The Mariners and despite not having agreed a new contract at Blundell Park, he played down reports linking him with a move to The Kingston Communications Stadium.
"I've heard about the speculation linking me with (Hull) City, and it's flattering, but as far as I'm concerned it's just speculation," Hockless told the Hull Daily Mail.
"As a player, you hear a lot of things about other clubs who may be interested, but you don't really take much notice.
"Until my agent (Garry Thornburn) tells me about any concrete offers, it is purely speculation and nothing more than that."
Hockless is open to seeing what options he may have this summer after being left far from satisfied with the contract offer made to him by Grimsby.
"I've got an offer on the table, but I'm not happy with it and it's now up to them to come back to me," Hockless added.
"Whenever I played, I feel I did well and I think I'm now ready for regular first team football.
"Next season is going to be an important one for me and it's important I make the right decision about my future."
