Wiltord could make Spurs switch

Arsenal's out of contract striker Sylvain Wiltord has stated it would not be easy joining rivals Tottenham, but he could make the North London move.

The French international forward is a free agent this summer, after four years at Highbury, and has been linked with a host of big-name clubs.

However, following the news that Jacques Santini will take over the reins at Spurs, the Frenchman is being tipped to form the new revolution at White Hart Lane.

Wiltord, who is currently away on international duty with France in Euro 2004, has stated as Arsenal and Spurs are big rivals the transition would be difficult, but not impossible.

Sol Campbell became an unpopular figure at Spurs after joining The Gunners back in the summer of 2001 for free after spending his entire career at Tottenham.

"It is true there are rumours regarding Tottenham but everyone makes his own choices in his career," explained the 30-year-old.

"As Tottenham are Arsenal's biggest rival, it (the move) won't be easy. But if I join them, it will be with pleasure."

Meanwhile, veteran full back Bixente Lizarazu has reiterated his desire to join Spurs with Santini set to take over the Premiership outfit.

"Of course, knowing he (Santini) will be the coach next season is a reason and an important factor for any player," said Lizarazu.

"The coach is a major element when you join a club."
