Lyon complete double swoop
French champions Lyon have moved to bolster their squad with the capture of Sochaux striker Pierre-Alain Frau and Lille defender Eric Abidal.
Frau, 24-years-old, has proved an impressive performer for Sochaux - netting 63 goals in six seasons with the French club.
Dominating central defender Abidal, who turned down a bid from Paris Saint Germain in order to pen a deal with Lyon, has spoken of his delight over the move.
''It's true that Paris and Lyon both wanted me but I had to make a choice,'' Abidal told www.olweb.fr
''The challenge they offer is better, the ambition is extremely high and I liked the challenge.
''Frau and I were Lyon's top priorities and we will both make sure the club wins a fourth title.''
