Feeney move set for tribunal

Both Coca-Cola League One clubs have agreed to a tribunal, should the Northern Ireland international reach personal terms with ambitious Stockport.

The Edgeley Park club have made three bids to The Cherries, which have all proved insufficient to the South Coast outfit.

Despite being out of contract and having rejected the terms a new deal at Dean Court this week, Feeney cannot move on a Bosman free because he is under 24 years of age.

Bournemouth boss Sean O'Driscoll was disappointed to see Feeney leave the club this summer.

"I am disappointed to be losing Warren but I understand his point of view with football being such a short career and a new family on the way," O'Driscoll told the club's official website.

"I'd like to thank him for his contribution since his arrival from Leeds.

"He has always been popular amongst his team-mates and the supporters and we wish him all the best for the future."

One player that will be staying at Bournemouth is defender Stephen Purches, who has signed a new one-year contract with the club on Friday.
