Monaco move for Maicon
Monaco have signed Brazilian international defender Maicon for an undisclosed fee from Cruzeiro for next season.
The highly-rated right back, 22, has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with the Principality club, having recently been named in his country's squad for next month's Copa America finals in Peru.
Maicon is thought to be Didier Deschamps's ideal replacement for Argentine defender Hugo Ibarra (pictured), who returns to UEFA Champions League holders Porto after a year on loan at Stade Louis II.
Maicon's move to Europe comes after spending three years in Brazil's top flight and nearly a year since making his international debut with the Samba Boys.
