Gamst Pedersen happy to stay

Tromso's in-demand midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen is happy to continue his career in Norway, after a failed bid from Blackburn Rovers.

The Norway international was the subject of an offer from the Ewood Park outfit, however it was deemed insufficient and rejected swiftly.

Despite failing to land a lucrative move to The Premiership, Gamst Pedersen is unperturbed at remaining in the Tippeliga as the decision is out of his hands.

"My situation is unchanged from a week ago. Blackburn made an offer and Tromso said no," explained Gamst Pedersen to TV2 Nettavisen.

"I've got no problems with that. I'm not angry on the decision, rather the opposite.

"It's really fun to play here and I feel that I'm still developing. The most important for me is to become a good footballer.

"I've got a dream of playing abroad, but I'm in no rush to realise that dream."

It remains to be seen whether Rovers make another move for the Norwegian as manager Graeme Souness (pictured) looks to build on a disappointing season last term.
