Owen still looking for goal-rush

Michael Owen has admitted that 'Rooneymania' has taken some of the focus off of his lack of goals for England in Euro 2004 - but admits he is desperate to break his duck.

Owen played a major role in England's 4-2 win against Croatia, combining with Paul Scholes for both of England's first two goals and laying on a fine pass for Rooney to make it 3-1.

However, the Liverpool man is disappointed with his own lack of goals - and is looking to get his name on the scoreboard against Portugal.

"Part of me is ecstatic that we're through but five percent of me is disappointed I haven't scored as well," he said.

"It bothers me when I don't score but I feel my partnership is working well and it is great to see Wayne getting all these goals.

"In a way it takes a certain pressure off although I've not got anything to prove.

"It's not as if I'm doubting myself but the sooner I get a goal the better."
