Trap still doubtful over Vieri

The prolific Internazionale hit-man is struggling with a knee injury but the veteran tactician insists he will give Vieri every opportunity to prove his fitness.

''We will wait until the last moment,'' confirmed Trapattoni.

''I will talk with doctors and then we will choose.''

The Italian coach has faced criticism in his homeland over his selection policy thus far but he remains adamant that he would not change any of his choices.

''I would not cancel any choices I have made in the past,'' he continued.

''I only think to the problems we have to win this match.''

Meanwhile, when pressed on his future with the Italian national side, Trapattoni claims he thinks only of the present and not what is around the corner.

''This is my last game on the Azzurri bench?,'' said Trapattoni.

''I've already said that I don't think about the future.

''The future for weak people is unreachable, the fearful person is afraid of the unknown but for the courageous it is a new opportunity.

''And for me it is this.''
