Doherty extends Cottagers stay
Fulham have been boosted by the news that youngster Sean Doherty has penned a one-year extension with the club.
The 19-year-old, who is yet to make a first-team appearance for The Cottagers, spent part of last term on loan with Blackpool.
Doherty made just one substitute appearance for The Seasiders before returning to the West London outfit early after failing to secure regular football.
It had been speculated by some media sources that the teenager had been released, however Chris Coleman's side have swiftly quashed the talk.
Doherty, who is a former England Under-17 international, is now tied to the club until the summer of 2005 and is training with the squad.
